Decoupled Auth means Instabatch never requires your Instagram login — our server resolves the post metadata and pulls each CDN URL directly. The Magic Byte sniffer reads the first bytes of every response (JPEG \xff\xd8\xff, PNG \x89PNG, MP4 ftyp) to assign the correct file extension without quality-stripping transcoding.
Will Instagram notify the creator if I download their carousel?
No. Unlike in-app screenshots or screen recordings, our server-side CDN extraction never triggers Instagram's screenshot or screen-recording detection APIs. The creator receives no notification because the fetch happens natively from their CDN, not through the Instagram client.
