Is there a difference between JPG and JPEG?
No, there is absolutely no difference between JPG and JPEG files. They are the exact same image format. The .jpg extension was originally created because older Windows operating systems only supported three-letter file extensions. Today, both are used interchangeably.
Will converting a JPG to JPEG reduce the image quality?
No, converting a JPG to a JPEG will not reduce the quality. Because the underlying file structure is identical, our instaBatch processing simply changes the file extension safely without recompressing the image, ensuring 100% of your original quality is preserved.
