Reddit post JSON contains separate preview and source image URLs. preview.redd.it serves width-capped thumbnails for feed performance. Our parser reads the source field from the media_metadata or url object and fetches the i.redd.it asset at its native resolution.
Do i.redd.it direct links work?
Yes. Paste either a reddit.com/r/sub/comments/ permalink or a direct i.redd.it URL. Instabatch resolves the post ID and queries the highest-resolution source URL from Reddit's API.
Are Reddit image downloads anonymous?
